Family Health Isis

Introduction

The aim of the project is to provide an African Caribbean Mental Health centre to meet the needs of African/ African Caribbean people with mental health problems in the London Borough of Lewisham.

Isis Symbolises

• The empowerment of people to take control of their lives and future - nuturing and independance.
• The education of people to be more aware of the effects of mental ill health and to challenge all forms of oppression and ignorance that perpetuates stigma-wisdom.
• To encourage people of African/African Caribbean descent to realise their potential and lead active and positive lives - power.
• To promote respect for individual's rights, dignity and humanity - caring and affirmation.
